WELCOME TO PILGRIM STUD
I am a breeder of the English rabbit, or English Spot or Old English as some people know it, in the hope that I can breed a top class show rabbit for showing in the midland and maybe national English Rabbit shows.
There may be rabbits for sale at time through out the year, so please check the for sale area to find out what is currently available, and any planned matings to enable you to plan when wanting a rabbit.
There is also a care sheet section, this will enable you to learn what will be required to look after your rabbit, whether as a pet or for breeding and showing. Bearing in mind that I am new to showing, and therefore my knowledge so far has been gained from other breeders. I will attempt to keep you informed as to how to look after your rabbits either from this site or email me.
I am a member of the British rabbit Council (joined mid 2010) for the purpose of showing rabbits, and one of the things I didn't realise when I took this hobby up is that, to show a rabbit you have to become a member of the BRC, and also the rabbit has to be rung with a specific number for judging purposes. The rabbits I am breeding and hopefully showing are English spots, Chocolates in colour, as there are a few colours in the breed.
Occassionally I will have rabbits available for sale, either young (minimum 8 weeks) or slightly older looking for homes, all of which will be healthy, bread from good stock and will be well handled.
This is a hobby of mine to try and get into showing rabbits, it is not a business, and money received will be placed into the rabbit stock I have in food, toys, and vaccinations. I will not be breeding more than twice from any female in one year, so I will not be using them as a machine to produce rabbits, putting the rabbit herself at risk nor the young. If I don't have rabbits available for sale, im afraid you will have to wait until such time as one becomes available.
